Our industrial heritage.

Greenray Turbine Solutions Limited are immensely proud of our industrial heritage. Our extensive archive contains not only the engineering drawings and specifications, enabling us to support decades old Gas Turbines, but also a photographic archive.

The images below show that 60 years ago GEC (English Electric) sold its first EM85 Gas Turbine into Nigeria. This pioneering piece of British Engineering was installed in Rivers State, Port Harcourt, located on the Niger Delta.

The single combustor EM85 electrical generator set was manufactured at the GEC works in Leicester and shipped out to West Africa in 1962.

Installed in Rivers State, Port Harcourt, located on the Niger Delta.

Thanks go to Greenray Principal Controls Engineer, Alastair McMurray for bringing this little bit of history to our attention.

To this day, we still support EM85’s in the field.
